lights not working
1999 maxima I was putting a after market radio in now my dash lights only work when my car is off when I start my car the lights shut off please help

Do you have bose or non-bose? Sounds stupid but it could help. Also have you f***ed around with the dimmer...

Check if your red-yellow wire is connected to anything else. The dash dimmer should only work when the lights are on. Here is the wiring diagram for the head unit
