4th gen speaker&amp wiring

Got a wiring question. I have taken out all the bose stuff from the car so im left with just my new speakers and amp. The rear deck was easy just wire them up directly to the amp. The doors are my issue now.

What i did was splice into the harness behind the headunit and wired my amp wires into the stock harness for front left(brown and yellow wires) and front right speakers(teal and purple wires), i did the bose amp bypass at the doors but im getting no sound from my front speakers.

At first i thought it was my amp so i moved the rear speakers to the front channel and it turns out the channels are both working. So im trying to figure out what is going on, unless i have an intermittent amp(it is a used amp a decent one though, JBL CS60.4)

The most awkward part is before i installed the amp i was running my speakers off the headunit using the amp bypass with no trouble, now im getting no sound, is there a wire compatibility issue? Because i am using speaker wire from the amp to the stock harness. Should i just be using normal 12 gauge wiring instead? Or is there another problem?

Setup
Headunit: Alpine S930HP
Speakers: 6.5" Rockford Prime
Amp: JBL CS60.4
