I've got a 2003 non-Bose SE. 4 speakers in the front, 2 in the back. I recently swapped out the stock head unit (CD and Tape both not working) for a decent, cheap Pioneer with bluetooth. No matter how much I fiddle with the audio settings, it sounds awful. Are there any recommended speaker replacements? I don't need something so loud it rattles the car apart, just want something a bit less 'lo-fi'. Looking for something that's a bit more plug & play, with minimal wiring and a $200ish budget.

 

Does your unit have any built in processing? You can take a look at Crutchfield.com to see what they have. Input your vehicle data & they will show you what speakers fit. You pay a little more with them (they are authorized dealers), but you get great customer service if you run into any issues. They will also provide you with speakers mount adapters if necessary & plugs for the stock speaker wiring harnesses.
