2007 Maxima - Aftermarket double din KEEP stock

Searched quite a bit but did not find an exact answer, I have a pioneer double din already installed. I would like to retain my MPG and screen info. Would it be possible to simply run power to the AFTERMARKET unit and tuck the stock unit behind the aftermarket and keep the functions? I would simply run the power and remote wire, all the other wiring has been removed for the wiring I ran to speakers and subs so there is no real need for the harness to be plugged into my aftermarket double din. I understand you couldn't scroll through but maybe was thinking glove box if possible or just leave it on the MPG setting etc.

I am trying to remember how long the cord is that plugs from the screen to the STOCK unit, maybe an extender or something?

Much appreciated for any info on this,

Well in case anyone cares, it's possible. You have to get that huge radio to fit tucked at the bottom, along with your GPS module if you have one. If you can accomplish that you'll need to splice the harness from screen to radio as its super short, did it one at a time to be sure all wires stayed proper. Only side affect is I'm leaving it on mpg, you can reach your hand up through the side passenger kick center panel and hit the bottom kind of.. or more likely just pull your shifter know and cover and reach back. Works and the mpg is accurate unlike the axxess module. You're welcome
