need help on new system

Right now I have a Pioneer head unit..PPI speakers up front and MA audios in the rear. I want to get a 8 " Bazooka or the Pioneer 8"bandpass tube. What amp do you guys recommend? Also I have a lot of little gadgets in the car that casues my lights to dim once in a while. FOr example, when I have the lights on and I brake the light would dim for a little bit. Any way to solve this problem and will the new system make it worse?

I would think that the system would of course place extra strain on your battery and cause the lights to dim when the bass hits.. I would suggest that you buy either a Red Top Optima battery, or a Lightning Audio Capacitor.. I have 2 caps, and a redtop and even with 3 amps, 4 subs, 3 tvs, and ps2 my lights dont dim..

The reason why your lights don't dim is probably due to correct and good installation. You are correct in saying that additional devices place additional strain on electrical system, but if installed correctly (i.e. correct awg wire, good ground and power connections, isolation of signal paths, etc.) lights will not start fliquering until you get substantially larger. Capacitors do help in keeping the additional demands of bass on the electrical system in check.

Do you have an amp powering the front speakers? If not, I suggest you get a 4-channel amp. Power the front speakers with the first channel pair of the amp and bridge the second channel pair mono to power the sub. An amp rated at 35-50 watts per channel will be plenty.

there are many amps that can do the job well. it really depends on what you want to spend.

can't get a four channel amp for that. you could get a 2 channel amp and run the rears off the HU. $100 is kinda of low for a good amp though.
