rear deck rattle...basically gone
rear deck rattle...basically gone
i was kinda bored on saturday so i tried to think up ways to reduce the rattle in my rear deck...if anyones posted this b4, my bad....i tried taking out the rear deck itself but that didnt work...i was thinkn maybe i could stuff styrafoam under it so the air moving up wouldnt get through...but instead..i took duct tape, wrapped it around styrafoam and pushed it against the rear windshield and the rear deck...so that the styrafoam is pushing down on the rear deck, not allowing it to move up...and voila....rear deck rattle reduced by 90%+...only w/ MAJOR bass can i hear it....extremely cheap $0 cuz i had the stuff lying around, and took like 20mins, if even that...its not all that noticeable either, unless you turn around and look for it..im gonna try to get sum tape that matches the rear to go along the deck to cover it up and it should be all good then.....good stuff

I was thinking about removing the whole deck and dynamatting the metal under it and then wrap interior vinyl on the wooden deck cover and find a way to glue it down and still be able to remove it when I have to like using some sort of silicone sealant. That should get rid of all the rattles in there.
