Car problems
I'm not quite sure if this is in the right section but I wanted to get some opinions. I recently bought a 2002 Nissan Maxima 3.5l v6 6 speed manual. I put a high power alternator in it so that it would be able to power my subwoofers(3 12" pioneers running off of a 1200 watt amp and a capacitor). It all worked great but now I'm realizing that my car has an issue now. If I rev my car any higher than 5k rpms, my car sort of "reboots". The radio shuts off and comes back on, and I have to move out of whatever gear I'm in and put it back into gear in order to accelerate. Any ideas?

Lol @ capacitor. It's a gimmick.
You should have upgraded your battery before your alternator.
Process of elimination. Start all the way downstream. First disconnect your amp and try to replicate the problem. If it's still there, try your radio. If its still there, go for a different alternator. If still, battery. If still...find a professional.
