My radio needs to be rebooted to work...
I just installed a Rockford Fosgate RFX9000 FM/CD/MP3 in my wife's car.
The tuner works fine on all FM radio stations apart from 2.
One is 95.5 which does the same thing - however if I hit the power button twice then it is fine. But then if I tune to a different station and then go back I have to turn the power off and on again to hear the station.
The other is 92.3 which just plays static and high-pitched win all the time. I tuned into the same station in my other car so I know the station is OK. Turning the power off and on doesn't help with this station.
What the deal? Is the FM tuner head unit faulty?

This is annoying- had a terrible 'experience' at best buy trying to buy this freakin' stereo - it took me an hour of chasing the sales rep down to complete the sale. Every time I asked him for a piece of info "Do you have the install kit fo the GM 1.5 DIN slot?" he would walk away for the answer, and take me 15mins to find him, and he was helping someone else out! "Sorry, what did you ask again?"
The only reasn I stayed there was because they had the normally $300 RFX9000 in 'open-box, complete' for $199 with no marks or blemishes. If it wasn't for that I'd have given up long ago.
Now that this radio problem has surfaced I'd rather not take it back because they'll expect em to pay the extra $100 to get a new one. ARGH!
PLUS they sold me a GM steering-wheel-radio-controls convertor for the stereo, and even though I told them this particular model didn't come with a remote control they still said it would work fine because the stereo was built to receive IR. That may be the case, but the convertor box has to be initially programmed by the remote control that htye knew I didn't have. MORONS!!!!

Sorry - done venting.
