Ok, I give up. Need advice on new head unit

I want to replace the BOSE head unit and keep the factory speakers and amps. I just bought my wife a Kenwood CD/MP3 that I liked so much I wanna get one for myself.

1) Is there any cheaper way to use an aftermarket head unit with the factory amps/speakers without risk of damage than the PD4 at $150?

2) What do you guys usually put in the other DIN panel when you replace the double-DIN Bose with a single-DIN. (I'm thinking CB radio... )

Thanks!

you need to find an aftermarket unit with no amplified power (Wattage). such units are a little more expensive, but they are out there. I had a Sony once. You might try a Sony Mobile ES or an Eclipse. For the other space, you might thinkabout an aftermarket EQ/Signal processor, or you can get a kit that will leave a storage space there.

You will need a unamplified head unit , which can be found somewhere

Just replace the stock speakers they suck
