I'm sorry, are there wheels in that pic? I must have missed something.

Also, Q-forms kickpods used to run about $200. If you are going to spend that much on kickpanels, don't get kicks with 1/16 inch thick vinyl walls. Get a decent set made by someone who knows what they are doing. I think Jonathan, "Whitemax", built a mold for kick panels for the 5th gen last fall.

I don't have to worry I do installs and made a set for myself. Also you could take fiberglass and and make them harder by adding more layers. Gel coat them and make them look sweet.

Why pay good money for a bad product? Then spend more good money and time to make it merely acceptable? Do it your self from the start or get someone who can. Besides, if you are going to add layers to vinyl it may be better to use a vinyl ester resin, rather than a polyester resin.

I don't know about anyone else, but I'm using the kicks for a tweeter and sealed 3-inch midrange, so the thickness of the panel is not as important to me as someone who is using a woofer. I still plan on using a layer or two of dampening material on the backside anyway.

I checked with Crutchfield and they don't carry them yet. I've emailed every car audio retailer I could find that carries Q-Logic and I'm waiting to hear back from them.

Email whitemax, I believe he made molds for both the 4th and 5th gen max this past summer or fall. There are many of us on this site that can build custom glass kicks, but whitemax is the only one to mold the kick for reproducable results.

Bad news is the molds were distroyed in moving. I was never able to use them
So I have to start all over from scratch. I prolly wont be about to do it until some time in the summer.

I wouldn't mind adding a 6.5" only to the kick panel pods just to improve the midbass up front by coupling the frequencies with the 6.5 in the door....Has anyone confirmed the cost of the qlogic panel? Me thinks another Boston Pro 6.5 sealed in there would be nice....

I had one online dealer quote me $175, not including shipping. I'm at work now and don't have all the details, but when I get home I can supply everyone with the website.

www.crutchfield.com

Crutchfield has them - I'm sure they're overpriced as well.

Where did you find these at Crutchfield. I checked their website and emailed a sales representative. They emailed back and said they don't have them.

This is the website: www.outerlimitsaudio.com They quoted $175 not including shipping. They have to order them which takes about 2 weeks.

I didn't check out the website. There are in the magazine I received just the other day.

Strange that they supposedly don't have them.
