Do all maximas have Bose systems, or is it an option?

 

Depends on which level of Maxima you choose and option packages,some do, some don't

 

Well the reason I ask is, Im replacing my 98 GXE headunit (its a tape deck), and I wanted to know if I need one of those 50 dollar converter things so the headunit works with my stock speakers. If its a Bose, I assume the headunit and speakers say bose somewhere...?

 

No adapter needed. Those adapters un-bose the existing bose system. In your case, nothing to un-bose.

Just from looking around, it seems like the Bose systems will say Bose on them.

 

The tape deck slot on the stock hu should say bose on it, atleast mine does.
