Morel and Dynaudio are about the only two who use a 3 inch voice coil. But structurally the amount of movement that 200 watts may demand may not be possible without 10, 15, 20 mm of Xmax. In all likelyhood you will never use anywhere close to the 200 watts of RMS potential.

dunno but you'll have to be using some 6.5" woofers on those components or larger for that amount of RMS..... try looking into the MB Quartz, Diamond Audio, or JL products

The JL's might handle 75-100 RMS. The other two, MB and Diamond, will not.

The Boston ProSeries should handle that kinda RMS, but I don't think that's too practical. But then again, what do I know? I've only been installing for, what, 11 years or so??

Sure, the boston like all the others mentioned will handle it. You just have to leave the gains all the way down. Why have 200 watts if you are only going to use 50? Honestly I would bridge that amp to one or two subs. And get something in the 50-100 watt arena for the components

If, you are looking for great subs, I would recommend Diamond.

I have yet to hear better for the money. I'm not saying there isn't better out there, just that I haven't heard it.

I've been running a set of Focal 165KS (upgraded to the 165K2 mids later because the glue in the surrounds on the first set came off. factory defect- they had about 1000 of them do that. replaced under warranty. blah blah)..

but I run 200W rms to my mids alone, then another 50W RMS amp to the tweeter. full active crossovers, 4th order.

when I do SQ competition, I run the mids full range and have run them at high power for quite long periods of time (sometimes hours at a time).

Any speaker that can take that deserves props in my book.

FYI, I also smoked a set of infinity kappas and some of the older MB Quart QM series mids. (tiny voice coils).
