I NEED SOME EXPERTISE HELP-- I need info on Pioneer DEH P9300?? I also want subs? ANY

I'm new to audio & wanna hook up a nice head unit & came across Pioneer DEH P9300....Any good or bad news-- I have a 5th gen Maxima. Will it fit flush w/ my dash? I also wanna get speakers, but not sure if I should just add a sub (10" or 12") or change all speakers & add sub? What do you guys think? Also whats the best speakers & subs out there? I want a good thump? But not something your can hear a mile away either.

In my opinion, Pioneer head units are some of the best available. Ive owned 2 and had close experience with 3 others in the past few years. The 9300 is the flagship deck of last year. It has every possible feautre Pioneer has to offer..including the EL display with photo/video upload capabilites. Another words you can have a pic of your car on your deck..pretty cool stuff. If you can get a good deal on a 9300 I would go ahead and go for it. Pioneer is currently phasing in their new line, and you will see the 8400 and 9400 models coming out sometime in April. The big upgrades they have made to these two over previous line(9300) is the ability to read MP3 encoded CDs. If you have a PC with a CD-R/RW drive you can download MP3's off the net burn them onto a CD in MP3 format. This will allow for 150-200 songs on a single CD that can be played in your new 9400 deck! If you are not familiar with the whole MP3 thing or do not have a CD-R/RW drive you may be better off to get the 9300...the features of the decks are almost identical except for the MP3 capability. Either deck will fit into your car fine. You will need a mounting kit and a wiring harness..whoever sells you the deck should have access to these things as well, if not Check Crutchfield. As far as the rest of your system....In my opinion the ideal setup for good sound without going to a super expensive, show caliber system would be:

Good quality 6.5" Coaxial speakers(Cerwin-Vega, Alpine, Polk, Infinity) for the front doors and rear deck (aprox 150 pair)
These can be powered by the deck or if money allows a small 4 channel amp. I am running a Rocford Fosgate 200.4

A nice single 10" or 12" sub in the trunk. Look into the same manufacturers as listed before. Try to find one that has an RMS power handling of at least 250-300 watts. Then power this by a 2 channel amp that has about the same power output. Look into Rockford, MTX, PPI, and Alpine amps they are all pretty nice ones.

Hope all this helps...good luck with your audio endeavors!
