12 inch

Hey Fellas I have two 12 inch subs MTX and a Kenwood amp with 600watts. I don't think my 12 inch subs are hitting hard enough. What amp could I get so that my subs would have more thump.

Get a custom box built for your subs and get a JL Audio 500/1 500 watt monoblock amp. Your Kenwood amp does not put out 600 watts...it is more like 250ish continous power. The JL puts out 500 watts of clean power and will make your MTX's pound.

How much do u think a custom box will cost?? And I just want to know what other amps that will put out 500 to each sub, that I can get?

Stick with the JL 500/1. You'll be fine with that amp. Custom boxes vary from dealer to dealer. Figure an average of $200-$250.00 Insist on a custom box for the best performance. Overlook the installers photos if he has any to show you what kind of quality work the installer can do for you.

Re: 12 inch

I'm selling my Zapco AG 750 which has 750 watts RMS and can run you 1200 watts total. I've bought it because it's just the best amplifier for the compatition use.

Reason I'm selling, I'm getting even higher model.

These amps are very expensive, I've got one for 640 6 months ago, but I'm willing to sell it for 320. Do the research, but you'll like Zapco the most. I drive 1000 RMS ID Max with no problem!!!
