I had a pair of Series VIII amps, and they were great amps to have, although I wasn't as knowledgable then as I am now. You really can't go wrong with them, especially if you can find them at a good price. I'm not too familiar with their series XI amps, but I'm sure they're better than the ones I had, which if you can find a Vulcan VIII, still retails for about $200+! And that's only a 200W, 2-Channel amp!
I'd get them myself, but I just picked up on what may be the best deal I've ever gotten on a pair of car amps... 1 near brand-new and 1 brand-new PROFILE California series amps, setting my system up with 900W of RMS power
Good luck with the HiFonics amps - I'd recommend them to anybody.
