When you are in your car, what percentage of the time is the stereo on?

And how loud do you usually play it?

Just wondering..

Mine is on just about 97% of the time. I play slightly higher then average volume most of the time. Only reason I don't go louder is because my speakers suck azz and really screw the sound up.

when I had my good sytem in my POS max, it used to be on 100% of the time....
But now that my car is actually fun to drive and I'm still using the stock POS bose stereo, I have a tendency to drive for miles and forget it's turned off.

90%, a little peace and quiet does some good, it also keeps you from having problems prolonged (b/c you can hear some of them)

Upper 90's. Occasionally I turn it down or off to listen to the car or to make adjustments, take measurements of voltage, amperage, etc. But when the car is moving it is generally on.

about 98%- I like to have my music loud, but not loud enough that my hearing will go out in a couple years loud. I usually cannot drive anywhere without music, and the radio is hardly ever on.

110% <--- to account for loud volume too...

i dont play it that loud, especially IN large cities, but its almost always loud enough to feel somewhat, even with only 1 12 and 180 watts.

Well, before yesterday, 100%. But now with the POS speakers with no amp or subs, I don't care if it's on or not. I like to hear quality as well as loudness. I can't get either out of the 2 Sony 6x9 with no amp. I gotta hurry and get my sounds back !!

Oh, on a side note about the Sony MP3 player, if anyone is deciding to get it or any other MP3 player. On some songs, the quality is WORSE than a cassette tape. But when you have 158 songs on one CD and no more than 5 of them are bad, you kinda just say, "Oh well."

now that i have my new kenwood, my head unit is on 100% of the time, my stereo is on 15% of the time and my cd player is on the rest of the time...always on full blast or low blast cause the kenwood DPX 4020 has this special button where if u press it, it will drop the volume all the way down for a low tone, u know like when u have to give a direction to the driver real quick, or if you receive a call...a great feature i didn't know it had till i used it...i'm so happy that i picked such a good unit...then u just press the button again and it's where u last had it...on full blast! and with MTX in the back and BLaupunkt in the front, my sound is real good...so much base, i don't need subs, but i will get some some time in the future....

Kenwood DPX 4020....straight flawless, only problem is that it will stick out like most double din head units, but hey, i have no problem wit that anymore....look it up on google...i recommend to ALL!

100% volume... 100% of the time... exluding the silence caused by the presence of police cruisers of course.

99% of the time. The only time my stereo is off is when I take a cd out and forget to turn it back on. Volume is usually 50-80%.
