Infinity Kappas, what size is the best size?

I wanna pick up some Inifinity Kappas for my front and rear. Some people say 6 1/2, some people say 6 3/4. Im not sure which ones to get. The 62.3i (6 1/2), the 63.3i (6 1/2), or the 652.3i (6 3/4). Anyone have any of these? If so, could you tell me how the installation went, and how they sound in a max? thanks

I think you should have posted this in the audio forum, but oh well. I think all the kappas sound good. As far as which size you could get 6.5 or 6.5s. The kappas come with mounting adapter rings.

PLEASE EVERYBODY, listen to this stuff at the same time as equivalent equipment. I'm talking A/B switch.

Now, Kappa's may have improved over the years, but back when the "green" components were out and so was the Beta stuff, I went to a dealer and was able to switch between Nakamichi's, Infinity Reference, Infinity Kappa and Infinity Beta. All this, while being in a room that was 5ft by 5ft with my OWN CDs and could control everything ... crank it as loud as I liked and switch to speakers whenever I wanted. Infinity Kappa came in second to last that day behind the Nak's. Believe it or not, *I* thought (and remember it's not about what I like, but what YOU like) ... anyways, I thought the Reference series actually sounded a lot warmer and had more midbass than the Kappa's. The Kappas were screeeeeeeeching at high volumes where the Reference's were singing with a solid midbass note. Kappa's got a great name from their home speaker line and IMHO, they just don't sound that great. Of course the Beta's came in first, and are still in my car to this very day

Anyway, the point of the story is that I know too many people who just didn't listen to their speakers in that kind of enviroment. Make the sales person close the door to the sound room and crank them. Ask them if all the speakers are enclosed and what they're enclosed in (big difference if you go real small or real big.), that will help you determine if they will sound differently in your car or not ...

The best investment for your car is that component set for the front. Hell, I don't even run rear speakers. 6.5" Infinity Beta separates and an SPL160, the only speakers in my car. Make it a good decision cause you can keep great speakers forever. My Beta's are going on year 5

Just a tip, my 2 cents if you will. Sorry so long winded

Good luck.
