Is dynamat shiny on both sides ar is there a way to cover it so it doesnt look so ugly on the trunk lid? Or are there better things to use than dynamat?

i know the side showing is silver...you don't have the carpet for the trunk lid??? I dunno of anyother way of doing it besides the spray stuff...looks like silicon sealer, but tan in color.

Cascade makes a trunk kit called TK1 Trunk Kit that you might look into.

I dynamatted my 99 maxima, the whole car, the silver side faces down, then buy some trunk carpeting and push that over it, should run about $100 for the trunk carpet.

You should be able to get trunk liner carpet for MUCH cheaper than $100. All you should need as around 3 to 4 yards to do everything, and have some left over. Just check your local Car audio shop.

Could someone explain the audible differences after they installed Dynamat or some other material? Is it better for audio only applications or is the ride quieter even without the stereo on? Also where did you put it?

Thanks for any help~

You really won't notice a diff between the Dynamat brand and other brnds, since they are all made out of the same stuff, only major dif is Dynamat sticks their name on it. As far as affecting noise levels, you really won't see a large dif just using dynamat alone. Such products, while they may block a small amount of noise, really only stop rattles more than anything. To make your ride quieter, you must use a sound absorbing material like carpet padding, foam, or similar products.
