Head Unit help
Head Unit help
Help... Does anyone know if any company makes a double DIN DVD/CD/MP3 player. I do NOT want a pioneer/Alpine flip out screen. I would rather have a single flat panel (with a smaller screen) in my space where my crappy Bose head unit is sitting thne have a fold out
Thanks for the advice and I look forward to hearing from you.

Nope, no double din of that. Double DINs always have old technology on them and cost a lot more. For a screen, you'd have to do some modding. Unless you put a DVD player and an MP3 player in your glove compartment and then put the screen in the stock bose housing. But that makes life hell when you want to switch DVDs, CDs, etc.
Yup, that's what I've observed when looking to replace my BOSE HU. Car stereo companies invest their major technologies in the single DIN setup. Bummer
I eventually got a Clarion 815 Single DIN and an ugly extra pocket. I would have loved to get a double DIN MP3 CD receiver. Could not find any.
