optima batteries

after i installed my wiring harness and 9004 hyperwhites, my alternator has been straining to put out enough power to everything. i have fog lights and hyperwhites everywhere, and while i understand their power draw is minimal, it doesn't help. i have a clarion z7575 head unit (i think thats the one, its 40x4), kicker evolution 4x6s in the doors and stock 6x9s in the back, and a kicker zr120 powering a 12" kicker compVR. not surprisingly, all this stuff together puts quite a strain on my alternator. the alternator is only 6 months old and i have a 5-month old gold series battery from sears that replaced my oem one when it died recently. my car is a 92 gxe w/ approx. 160,000 miles...

the real reason for this post is this: i want to get an optima battery, i dont really know much about them other than the fact that most of my friends w/ systems got yellow tops, and never had any problems. what would be the best for me to get? i did a search and while it helped me find some places to get them, i dont know enough to specifically deal with my situation. any help would be appreciated. peace
