I'm going to be installing pioneer tweeters (probably this weekend) and I was just wondering if anyone has actually drilled into the door panel for the tweeters, and if so, if anyone could give me some tips? I'm pretty handy with this **** so I'm not too worried, just wondering. I'm gonna be placing them next to the door handle, I believe this is the location of the stock Bose tweeters.

Any tips??

Thanks!
Chris

The mounting plate for the Pioneers is really forgiving since it allows you to cover up a jagged line. I put my Pioneers in the black plate in the corner of the windows, just ripped out the padding and they fit perfect. Only the wiring is a little tricky, if you want to just run with the wires to the mids it will be a lot easier.

I mounted my MB Quart tweeters in my door. I had to cut a hole on each side. It is easy, i would use a hobby knife to trim around the pleather, hehe. Just remember to measure not twice but more like 4 times. Take your time and dont rush.
