Enough power??? May be a stupid question.
Enough power??? May be a stupid question.
Hello. I will give a list of my audio equipment, and then ask my question.
-Infinity Perfect 12.1D
-Rockford Fosgate Punch 360.2 (for the sub)
-Clarion APX400.4 400 Watt 4 channel amp
-MB Quart Componets in my front doors
-6x9 MB Quart 2-ways (soon)
-JVC KD-SH99 mp3 receiver
-1 farad Lightning Audio digital cap.
I am running 4g wire back to my system. At a custom audio shop, they said that I needed to run a SECOND 4g power wire for my new 4 channel Clarion amp. I was wondering, since I have the 360.2 Punch (not power), if I could get away with running the 4g wire to a power distribution block and running 8g to both the Fosgate and the Clarion amp. (btw, The Punch only has inputs for the 8g wire.) If another 4g wire is needed or one of the yellow top batteries, I will do it because I want it done right; however, money is starting to become a concern because I'm in college. Also, what kind of RCA wires should I run from my HU to the 4 channel amp? I am using a $40 of Monster Cable RCA's for my sub, but it would be kind of expensive to buy two more sets. Should I stick with the good stuff or is there a better/cheaper alternative? Thanks for looking.
