" Whats everybody hitting "

I know, you guys prolly hate this type of question, but I am interested on seeing what people can hit in there Maximas. And maybe also, everyone can post there whole setup. The highest I have got so far is 140.3 db, on regular rap music, not test CD's. And i am very happy with that, as I am more into SQ, and not into competing. My setup consists of

Head Unit : Panasonic 702U
Front Stage : Boston Pro 6.5 comps in kicks
Front Stage Amp : Alpine MRV-F407 160X2 bridged
Rear Fill : Stock Bose
Subwoofers: 2 Planet Audio 12's in a custom sealed Box
Sub Amp : JBL 1200.1

With my old system in my 89 I was hitting in the mid 140's.. It would range from like 143-146 depending on what type of mic filter they were using..

I hate it when people say stuff like that.. I actually had a kid tell me that he hit about 210db with 2 10's (1 jl, 1 rf) and a bass tube running off the factory HU.. He was serious too, didnt even crack a smile..

i haven't been metered, but 140 is pretty good for a maxima. i get so much loss with the enclosure in the trunk.

port your subs.

well, i think 140 is pretty good.

May you have the best of luck.. Unless you are planning a W7, Stroker, DDaudio, or something in that range I dont see it happening.. But I would love to see it happen.. BTW when you hit that 149, what type of event was it (Db Drag, Iasca, Usac) and was it outlaw or on the dash>??

I hit 130.8 at an IASCA event in Southern IL. I have the sheet from it and all. This was with 2 JL Audio 10W3's in a crappy Pro-Wedge box and a Kicker DX700 running it.

I would like to be in the 140's but with 2 10's I don't think that is possible. Perhaps I can squeeze out about 6 more dB if I make a new box and port it, but this is my daily driver and I listen to a variety of music, so a sealed box is good enough for me and you can still hear me coming if I crank it!!
