I have been compiling stereo equipment for the last couple months and now I'm ready to have everything installed. I went to a very reputible car stereo shop in my area to find out about install prices and procedure. When the topic of speaker wire installation came up, the guy at the shop stated that my amps speaker wiring would actually run back to the head unit and connect to the stock speaker wire due to the fact that there is no room to run new wire in the doors without drilling. My two questions are: (1) What are the specs on the stock speaker wire? (gauge, etc..) and (2) is this a recommend way to power my new speakers?
