can this be done?

can i wire 2 4ohm DVC subs in parallel, and then bridge them to a one channel amp? i have 2 type alpine 1240 type r subs, and want to buy the new Alpine 600m, one channel amp. i have read that it is 200 x 2, bridged @ 4ohms. the confusion is that how can i bridge it into 2 channels, when it is a mono amp ...
please help me figure this out

If you run the coils and the subs in parallel, you will get a 1ohm load. Make sure your amp can handle that.
