I have a 1997 Maxima with the stock Bose stereo, which has a CD player and CD-changer controls. I have built an MP3 player and need to input RCA cables into the deck somehow. I don't want to use a tape adapter or an FM Modulator. If I were to open the deck, would there be left and right lines I could connect directly to, bypassing the CD changer plug

Does somebody make an adapter for the CD changer input on the back of the head unit? If not, what specific models of CD changers are compatible with my deck? If I know this, I could build an adapter myself after finding out the schematic of the plug used by these CD changers.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Do you want to take out the CD cahnger, I don't think thats what you were getting at. If you want to forgoe havin AM, you could splice those wires (have to open up the BOSE) and get to the MP3 by losing any AM.

Any luck?

Kraweb,

I'm having a similar problem to yours. I have the stock Bose system in the 2000 model, and can't find a way to hook up my MP3 system to it. Any insights for me?

Thanks!
