Awesome new 8 inch midbass - soon!

Any one here heard of the Adire Audio Brahma series of subs?

Is anywone here interested in a great 8 inch midbass? I know that I have been looking for one for over two years. And that's just the time that I have been actively searching. It might not have extremely shallow mounting depth. But looks like it will be mountable with modification to the door. I hope to have at least one (probably more) installed by October. This is optimistic as I am a protagonist. But I can hope. Tell you what, mail some money my way and I will deny OT in order to work on the door panel!!! Don't worry. I am not on the way to check my mail box. But check out this link: http://www.teamamp.com/cgi-bin/ultim...&f=15&t=001033

I have had some really good email discussion with Dan Wiggins of Adire Audio about this driver, thus the date I put in the above paragraph. Please comment as much as possible. As without consumer information a product will only fail. And I hope that this is the mid bass to end all. Because nothing currently available is worth a damn.

Dang! I can't believe that nobody on this forum is intersted in a high quality mid-bass driver. Oh well, to each his own . . .

I want a good set of 2-way 8" components. Midrange 8's that can kick out some good midbass, no standalone midbass 8's.

These could do that. But it may not be their absolute best aspect. You would have to mate with a good tweeter with extension down to 2000 hz or below. Of course that is nearly neccessary with any 8 inch driver. Even drivers that rate themselves as capable of smooth response for the entire midband.

im probably gonna try to find a morel sr-8.3, but if i dont end up doing that, and the 8" brahmas become a reality, i may really have to reconsider my options.

Ahh, the mythical Morel. I requested a quote on some of their drivers a couple months ago. Never got a response so I emeiled adire about trying to get a real mid bass. And it looks like my dreams will come true. The Morels xmax is about 4mm, fine for SQ. But I all too often crank my system and a true mid-BASS is what I want. I am just hoping it shows before fall temperatures set in.

Hehe, I dont need to. I already have increadable midbass. (and its from a 7")
If the Adire 8" is as good as the rest of the line, it should be a sweet speaker. Its a shame the ESX amp line has pretty much gone away. They were always from what i hear a great match that couldnt be touched for anywhere near the price.

I thought you had the MW170. And I think it's 200 mm diameter. Unless you are referring to the common practice of an eight inch driver having a mounting diameter between 8.5 and 9.5 inches. The MW170 has been at the top of my list for a long time but the inability to find any to listen to has kept me from buying it.
