5th gen Bose sub crossover question...
5th gen Bose sub crossover question...maximadave???
Here's a brain teaser...I'm adding 2 Infinity 10" subs & Kenwood amp to my 2001 Bose system. Has anyone thought of adding or adjusting the built in crossover on the existing sub to make it hit higher frequency midbass. I know the subs I'm adding will handle the lows, but, I'm afraid of having less consistency with the mid bass...
Anyone tried it or have any suggestions?

just mess with the frequencies on the amp for the 10's. If your concerned about mid-higher bass try 12's. They are the best all around size to get.

I wonder if adding one of b/w the amp & bose sub will get the effect I need. Problem is they are rated for 4-8ohm, but, I believe Bose is 1ohm.....hmmmm.....

True dat, but, the Bose sub also distorts at higher volumes & lower frequencies. It'd be nice not to have to disconnect it, but, use it instead as a mid bass. I've seen some inline filters that filter lower bass levels out.
