Efficently Wiring Speakers???

hey guys.
im looking to rewire my speakers soon. just an inexpensive thing to waste time while im saving money for the max.
i was looking around on ebay and found some pretty good deals (email me if you have wires too, again, i need to buy this car )
anyway, i was just wondering or checking, I only need one set of cables to each speaker location right?
i want to upgrade to componets later on and want to just be able to "plug them in". im under the impression that the cross over will take care of all the work and all i need is to hook up that one cable pair.

anyway, i have seen this asked before but never saw a definite answer, will a componet set allow the amp to see 2 ohms or remain at 4?
also, will it benefit me at all to run 2 sets of wires to each location?
thanks

You run one set of wires to where your crossover is going to be mounted(probably in the door) and then a set of wires to your woofer and one to your tweet...And the set will give you a 4 ohm load...

my subs are already wired, all i will do with them is maybe rerun a bigger power cable

Not all of the way from the amp, one set down the car into the door to wherever you put your crossover, then you will have to run 2 sets about a foot or two. But you can't really run the wire until you get the new speakers and figure out where the crossover is going...

oh well im just talking about wiring the car to the doors, ill worry about the cross over and such later.
what size wire do you recommend, 12 or 14 or anything else?
again im looking for a budget but ive learned not to look for quality.

I get the feeling you shouldn't be doing this

Wire gauge depends on the amp.

ohm load depends on the speakers, most are 4ohm for componets/coaxels.
