Window in the way

I finished installing my Rockford FNX 6.5 in my 3rd gen ride. I made 6.5" plates for the woofers in the stock location low in the doors, with a slight upward and inward angle (14deg). The tweets are in the A-pillar using the supplied wedge mount (sucks). It sounds OK (still tweaking levels, etc.) The biggest thing I noticed that I want to correct, is I have too much reflection off the windows when they are up, which creates a side bias problem. Matt93SE mentioned that he had pods in his old GXE that he used for competition. Is this my only solution to this? Otherwise when the windows are down, the staging and separation is phenomonal.

I would try mounting the tweeters closer to the woofers. I have learned through experience that *most* installations sound better when the tweeter is no more than 6 inches from the corresponding midrange or mid/woofer. You also might want to try angling the mids and/or tweeters slightly upwards and towards to dash, not towards you.
