New system for my 02' Max...

ok, first off, I have a 1400w 2 channel Lanzar amp, and 2 12' Infinity Kappa Perfect subs. My box is going to be slightly bigger than recommended (1.25 cubic feet per sub). Basically, I would like to get some opinions about this, and do you guys think I should dynamat my trunk? I know I'm gonna get some rattle, but I was hoping I could fix it myself without having to spend extra money on dynamat.

Thanks,
Wind

first of all...if you havent bought that lanzar yet...DONT! youll regret it. get a jbl 1200.1 or something like that. its 1300+ watts for less than 299 from ebay and some other places...and if you dont run bass boost (thats my reccomendation), and dont go nuts with the gain, or the boost on the stereo, you wont have a problem with that much power to them.

the other thing is, that dynamat is just so damn expensive. im a rep for elemental designs, and we have eDead (the same stuff as dynamat extreme) and its 40 ft^2 for 75 bux (65 mil stuff), or 40 ft^2 of the regular stuff (40 mil stuff) for somewhere between 55 and 63...i cant remember off-hand. anyway, you can buy over 150 ft^2 of eDead for less than the cost of 36 ft^2 of dynamat.

eric

you can check out eDead here.

well, the lanzar is the old series, and a friend of mine has one just like it that's a 500x2 wired to 2 polk ex 12's, and they boom. I dont' think I'm going to regret this amp, even if it doesn't push as much as it is supposed to, it'll pump sufficient power to the woofers.
