Will a DEI 552T Remote Start work with a DEI Sidewinder 6000?
I have a Sidewinder with lots of add-ons that I had in my CRX before it got totaled that I want to install in my Maxima. The only thing is, the 6000 doesn't have remote start. So I found a guy in town that has a couple of 552Ts that are slightly used and I would like to get one if I can verify that it will work in my Max with the Sidewinder.
Also, are there any problems with the 552T? How long should I expect it to last?
And, my starter is starting to lag a little after start. Is this going to affect anything with the remote start?
Thanks...

I'm paying around $40 shipped for a slightly used, verified working 552. I have just about all the accessories you can buy for my Sidewinder (paid about $450 for just the parts at cost). I have a good friend who is a DEI dealer and he said if the 552 goes bad, he can get a replacement for me since I bought all my other alarm stuff from him.

I got the alarm, motion sensor, backup battery, 2 backup horns, power door lock motors, trunk release actuator, extra LEDs, glass breakage sensor, and hood switch. This was on a CRX that had no power locks.
Four weeks after this alarm was put in, I was rear ended and the car was totaled.

Yeah... I was pretty surprised myself. I always garaged the car so I never really thought I needed an alarm until I fell asleep at a friends house and $3000+ got stolen from the car and another $2500 in damage done to it. So with the insurance money I put in that alarm and was pricing my next system when I got in the accident. The money left over was then put into doctor bills and the new car.
