I have one 12 right now in my trunk in a sealed enclosure. I was wondering which direction would give the best sound and hit the hardest, ie. Towards the back of the car, towards the side? Thanks alot.

 

Corner-firing always seemed to work best for me, but it's not the easiest to accomodate for most people (most people have a huge box with 2 subs). Play around with it and see what you like best.

 

People will say different things. My subs are facing outward and reverberate rather well off the opening area of the trunk, producing a good thump. Some people face them toward the front of the car, haven't tried it but heard its pretty good. Just experiment with positions, best way to find out.
