front speakers

I have a '96 Maxima w/out Bose system, and I have a spare JBL 5 1/4' speakers. I wanted to install in the front but I know they're too small. Does anyone know where online I can get a adapter for it, cuz the correct is is 6 3/4 (according to Cruthfield)
If you could provide me w/ the installation process that'd be nice.
Thanks!!!!

Make your own adapters out of MDF. There are lots of how-to sites on the 'net...

Take 6.5 and see if you can bolt them straight in. Both by definition cannot fit without modification...

Nah sorry, no such luck, Infinity all the way around. 6.75s in the rear which came out of my 3rd gen which also has 6.75s in the rear, actually put the stock speakers from the 95 back into the 90, and they were direct replacements...How many screw holes did you have in your memphis'? Perhaps you have more than four holes to allow for the oversize openings because most companies don't like to make the 6.75s anymore...

Ok I am not going to chatter with you anymore, obvioiusly we are both right, you have 6.5s and I have 6.75s. Must be a difference across the 95s..possibly the trim. But I am not going to **** you off to the point that you would go to the FS forum and PW over there....

what

if I don't want that much bass
shuld i just go with replacing the stock speakers with memphis speakers and get a 4 channel amp? how many watts should i get in the amp?
and no sub woofer?

because i really want it to sound sharp instead of just all bass but when I get more money I am thinking about just getting one single 12 sub

I made a little site on how to make the MDF baffles Azyn. I also used 6.5 Infinity Components, in a 90 Max (no bose). Swing at least for the Kappas if you can. www.ikesound.com has great prices and free shipping.
