Ditto on that.....well worth it.

I actually just helped a local 3rd-genner install his today.....sucks putting it on a 3rd gen, since you have to grind out the frame piece to fit it!!!!!

check on what classes they are legal for autoX, i remember reading somewhere that only the stage 1 is legal for sts because a lower tie bar cannot connect the suspension mount points to the chassis, only to the opposite side suspension

No problem for me, I'm SM already and pretty much anything goes in SM up here.

for SCCA the stage 2 will bump you up.....

I race with capitol racing club, and they use a handicap system so pretty much anything goes (except nitrous).....they use indexed times.

I was thinking that Matt should make it so that if you buy the stage one, you can buy the additional stage 2 bracing and be able to just bolt it up to the stage one bar. Obviously it may be a little bit less rigid but it would give you the option of losing half the bar depending on what club you are racing with.

Skinny - just FYI the stage II still keeps you in the sport touring division for COMSCC racing that you do (or are you running Showroom stock?)....SCCA is the only one that screws you here on the east coast with the stage 2 bar.....

yeah, pretty much what Irish says.

The 3rd gen install isn't that bad- as long as you have a die grinder. only have to remove a couple mm of material there, but it's still enough to make it a hassle if you don't have the right equipment. I wish there was another way to do it..

As for SCCA classes, the STage I bar classifies just like a FSTB.. it ties TWO lower suspension points together. The stage II basically qualifies as a chassis brace, which isn't allowed until you get to prepared or SM classes. (I've been running a stage II in SM for a couple years and nobody has said anything... then again, I'm always last or second to last in the class because we've got some damn good drivers in modded M3s, Cobras, and EVOs in the class)

skinnyMax, yours will be shipping out today.

Irish, yeah I know I'm still safe in my ST2 class but I was just thinking for the others that are running in SCCA and for those that aren't sure which stage bar they want.

Matt, I was hoping you would say that, I'm looking forward to testing it out this weekend.
