Some pics from Labor Day autocross- some nice cars

A beautiful day for autocross, and I took some pics (and alot of videos)...

Some highlights were the flawless yellow Pantera with the 335width tires in the back, a couple cobras, a Corvair that was faster than it looked, and a guy running in a HUGE station wagon (and doing half decent)...

All the rest of the pics are here:

http://www.cardomain.com/ride/442543/28

Here are some of the "highlights":

that's the wagon on the left

The classics: Pantera, Cobra, Corvair, TR6, and of course the Honda Accord

I wonder which of these is faster??

I've got to fine some Auto-X events around me. Looks like a ton of fun.

Be sure to post some of the video once edited.

on dirt or rocks I would have to say the white one. I have been in some really bad running Pantera's, so on asphalt it would depend.

Newlove, why? you don't live that far away from pikes peak, and it seems almost everywhere your way the speed limit is 75. I was just in Estes park this past weekend for a wedding, route 34 into Estes Park is way better than any auto-x I've been to, not to mention way better scenery.
but anyway, don't know how close you to these but:

I had to respect the guy though...in that pic he was staged, running between the yellow cobra and the pantera - what a nice way to make his slow car look even slower. It was actually a younger guy who I overheard saying that his parents had signed him up for the autocross so he could learn about the limits of the car. He was 7-for-7 in completing his runs and didn't hit any cones. Times were pretty slow, but far from the slowest of the day..

This Pantera was really a work of art. Every detail exterior and interior was flawless, down to the original radio still in the dash. The engine sounded beautiful and sounded like it was perfectly tuned. Truly one of the best restoration jobs I've ever seen (and I spent many years going to classic car meets)....He ran decent times but definitely wasn't pushing it to the limit.....

what exactly is your kind of car? There were new Porshes there, several Evos, several S2000s, a bunch of WRX/STIs, SRT-4s, RX7/RX8s, M3s, Audi S4, etc etc.....

No, no Pintos or Gremlins, sorry...
