RWD fun in my 1st gen... in the snow!
RWD fun in my 1st gen... in the snow!
I am a firm beleiver that RWD cars are more fun and more
safe to drive in ice/snow. RWD gives you feedback & does
not lull you into a false sense of security like FWD. After
all, regrdless of the drivewheels it's turning & stopping in
low traction conditions that causes accidents, not lack
of grip while accelerating.
Anyway here's me in my little Eighty-4 Datsun Maxima in
a few empty parking lots wiht a couple inches of snow.
This is what you might call "redneck drifting".
Git-er-done! :P
First we went to the Pheasnat Lane Mall, a Security
Guard asks us to move the fun somewhere else but is
super nice about it. He made it sound like the video
recording on Mall property was a bigger deal than the
donuts in the snow. Most of the dumb commentary you
hear is from my buddy Ross but our friend Chris is the
one taping. Ross likes to bust my chops about the fact
that I love my little Maxima as much as my 1968 Camaro.

Next is the Target parking lot... after like a minute the
batteries die in Chris' camcorder.

Now it's off to an empty parking lot by Costco. Notice the
paper Wendy's Cup I toss at XP as he's raggin on my little
Datsun. Don't hate, appreciate!
Plus I almost fall on my *** when I slip on the ice getting
out of the car at the end.

I've got some videos of my Maxima at New England Dragway
too... I almost popped a wheel stand since my rear shocks
are pretty much non-functional anymore. I'll post that stuff
soon.
