Proposed autox STS rule change

This just popped up today. No idea what the chatter and support is yet but it will definately help the larger boats.

http://www.scca.com/documents/Fastra...strack-mar.pdf

• The following rule change proposals have been provided by the STAC and are being published for member feedback:
o Change 14.12.4 such that the maximum tire size is 265 and the maximum rim width is 9.0 inches, for 2WD (FWD
or RWD) only

Maybe 245/40/17 RE-01R or 255/40/17 Azenis or Advan

Sorry to burst your bubbles guys, but section 14.12 applies only to STX. The STS class is still restricted to the 7.5" wheel and 225 tires.

^ Ah, I see... Reading comprehension > me, as usual. I may well move into STX in the future, anyway.

Sorry dude. BTW I wanted to say hello to you on Sunday at Pellisippi, but when they called the race because of lighting, I was cold and sopping wet and wanted to back to Chattanooga. I don't thing I have ever been so miserable.
I would stick to 225s and stay in STS. If you step up to STX, you are in with WRXs and the new SI Civic. That is some serious competition. One of these days I'm going to bring the max up and run in the STM class.

^ Sheesh... I keep forgetting about the Suby's and the Civic's... It's cool about Sunday, I don't blame you at all! But wait, it took you until the lightning to become cold and wet? My dad came out to watch my last run and I asked him to bring a change of clothes from the waist down! By the way, I heard you hit a dear, hence the different-colored hood...?

Crap. Didn't realize that was the STX section. Oh well, 255's and a Quaife it is. In my region it just becomes Fenter instead of Frank kicking my butt.

You heard correct, Deer+ Miata= bad things. I hit the thing so hard he actually went over the roof of the car. I was a purdy 8 point, too bad I was late for work when I found him and couldnt drag him home. I'm just glad I was in the beer can and not int the maxima, other wise it would have gotten really messed up.

^ Damn, that sucks... And that's what I heard... The poor dear/deer went up/over. Thankfully, I've never hit anything like that, and hope I never will. But these county roads have me nervous at night sometimes...

I didn't find him till the next morning and the temp was in the teens. That stuff was the vapors freezing was he was breathing his last breath. It was kind of nasty.
Suprisingly, there wasnt that much damage to the car. Hood, Drivers Headlight, and the bumper support. I think I might go ahead and replace the bumper cover, cuz it has some waves in it.
