any 5th/6th gens running street class auto-x?
In 2015 all Maxima's in stock form got re-classed by the SCCA into the slowest H street category. With only tire/wheel and shock changes I'm wondering if it would be competitive at all. Before you flame me get this. In 2019 a 6th gen Accord took 2nd place at SCCA Nationals and a week ago I saw a similar 7th gen take 1st at a Natl Champ tour. The Accords have a wider wheel width offering support for more tire width and their V6 has more top end power. The VQ35DE however has a better low end power/tq and the LSD option. Our 5th gens are lighter and narrower, same 0-60, but hampered by only a 7" wheel width option. Our 6th gens near identical power and weight, (car mags show slower 0-60), with 1" narrower width and 4" longer wheelbase. I've been looking hard at these specs for over an hour now - what am I missing. Who's out there trying it?

Not really interested myself in driving heavy FWD cars anymore. Drove a 2022 Ecoboost Mustang last month on windy mountain roads and even though their Trac Lok LSD performed well I could feel the 4000lb (with passengers) weight transfer alot. I'm spoiled after 10+ years in the 2500lb Teg and 2900lb BRZ (incl driver)
