Just got back from Dons. He installed a Viper 160 on my moms 2003 Mazda Tribute. Awesome job, very clean and professional! Got some shopping done also while I was there I will definitely bring more cars of mine and friends in the future to Don's. The best apart about going to Don's over a shop is the honesty you get from him and the customer service is second to none!!

To say that Don provides excellent service would be an understatement.......I had him install DA M6 components and M3 coaxials and a Viper auto start yesterday...took his time, knows his **** in and out and I do believe if I blind-folded him, he coulda done the same job in the same amount of time.

His level of meticulousness is unrefined to say the least. He was informative and explained what he was doing, why he was doing it and what it actually did.

A++++++++++ highly recommended!!!!

I will be there again, because now my highs are just too damn high I need a sub now too

I just had a viper 791xv installed my Don. So let me tell you something about the experience ive had with him. He is absolutly the man! He forgot to connect one of the wires for the fan but when I came back he did it in 5 minutes! Did not even need the diagram!!!!! This guy really knows his sh*t. Also hooked up my hood and trunk to the alarm, and gave me a great price.

I doubted him at first but let me tell you I was wrong! He is really a nice and honest guy, I am happy that I chose him to do my alarm, he also asnwered like 150 questions that I had. Like I said before very nice and honest guy, you dont come accross those too often, defintely going to bring my cars back to him, and friends as well! Just wished he lived a lil closer to my house so I can visit him more often

Thanks Don!

I ordered a set of coaxials from Don and the transaction couldn't have gone smoother. I ordered with confidence after hearing countless good feedback from other .org members over the years, back when I was active in the audio forum.

I felt slightly bad about my transaction, actually, since I originally meant to buy the speakers in the summer and made it appear so, and then had to back out, but Don was very understanding.

He's also taken the time to answer specific questions about the fitment of the speakers for installation. I have a couple of installs worth of experience under my belt, but the personal advice of a professional is very reassuring.

I'll look to Don first if I need more audio equipment, even though it would probably be for my maxima replacement in the future

Don's a great guy untill you pay for something and never get what you paid for!

Don, I hope you are enjoying my $425.

Go ahead, call PG, ARC, Diaomond, etc and ask if Don is authorized.

Yes, definitely a first. Don's such a standup guy I highly doubt that he ripped you off. I'll give you one example, when I had my amp and sub installed I was supposed to have a Diamond Audio Amp and a Diamond Audio Sub. The Sub blew about 10 minutes after install. I had already paid Don for his services, he could've easily brushed me off and made me pay for shipping of the blown sub and let me deal with the warranty by myself, like many audio stores around me do. I went back and Don took care of everything, he paid for the shipping and within a week I had another sub.

It took a week just because the weekend got in the way, otherwise it would've been faster.

what do u think he does? steal everything he gets? c'mon now. first of all, Don's is a stand up guy, and stands behind his installs and products from day one, if you have any problem with it, HE takes care of it. He never sends u to someone else. as far as your problem with him, how long ago did u send him the money?

I am tired of everyone bowing down to this idiot. I am ****ed about his attempts to discredit me. Ask him a question about basic electrical.

He is a salesman, no better. Ask him where the $425 I gave him is at now. The check was cashed immediately when he got it, between April and June of 2003.

I am trying to discredit you? But yet I am the one being called an idiot? Name calling? Funny. Where is your money? It paid for the Power supply that FedEx damaged. If you would like to tell the story include the facts of it was obtained, and shipped to you. Not "I sent him $425 and I got nothing" A little misleading...Yes your personal check in which case I hardly Ever accpet was cashed immediately as I told you it would be due to the fatc that the bank take several days to clear it. Point there being?

Yes you can actually call those companies. Arc I am direct with, the other two I use a distributor or in DAs eyes a "stocking account"

--Don

Also BTW...JAMES I have actually told many people that you do know quite abit about the more technical aspect of the 12volt world and even openly admitted to you as well. Where I have tried to "discredit" you is beyond me.

JmaX,
Ovbiously you feel as if you have been taken for a ride. We don't know the complete story and it seems that there is more to it. Like I said before you are probably the first person to post a negative feedback, I am not saying that there is no one else out there. In business it is difficult to please everyone. I have to say though from personal experience with Don he does try his best to do so, even if it means to dip into his pockets on certain ocassions. It might just be in your best interest to work with Don to clear up the $425 and move on.
Also when you say everyone bowing down to him, I take that personally. Don has helped me out on many ocassions and I have returned a favor a few times. This is what you call a mutual business relationship. So what you may be calling bowing down, others see it different.

"But I did my part !! =)~ I dont typically have problems with FedEx thats why I continue to use them...

-_Don"

"And I thought I packe it pretty good. Best bet would be to go through FedEx, I dont know how I would justify shipping that to you.

--don"

"First of all I didnt find a way to email a receipt, second I still do not have a fax line connected nor a fax number on you. If you want to bring our personal business to the forums feel free. Money I do not deserve? I did not ruin anything Fedex did. You paid for a product that I gave you. Everything in between is regardless, either way to put "money that I dont deserve" is uncalled for."

Those are a few of the emails I got from Don concerning this matter between 7/16/03 and 8/10/03. I had given Don my Fax number in mid July. He blamed everything on Fed Ex, so he doesn't exactly take care of things himself. He refused to file a Fed Ex claim. I have a nice letter from Fed Ex that indicates the damages were caused by the packer, Don.

So where is my $425 now. Don, I'm not calling you names, just stating facts. If I use the word idiot it's not just a name, it's fact. If I were to used the words untrustworthy, unethical, or dishonest they would also be fact.

I told you not to throw stones while living in a glass house. You obviously did not get the point of the message.

I have been waiting since July for a proper resolution. Instead I get Don trying to say I am at fault for not keeping in touch with him. Or not mailing the item back to him. I took care of all that in the first 10 minutes after recieving the damaged item. Don didn't bother placeing a receipt or invoice in the package and it took at least a month for him to fax a receipt. The shipper should have filed the claim, not the customer. I wouldn't have needed the receipt if Don filed the claim.

Actually FedEx has always told me to have the customer file the claim. The receiver that is. Now me being an idiot is a Fact? Thats laughable. What did copying my emails prove? That I sent you something that FedEx damaged and I didnt come out of my own pocket to replace it? Funny again. At the same time...I am supposed to buy you a new one when the old "damaged" one is still in your possesion? Last I heard when warranties are used the seller gets the problem one returned, so then I would ask where is it???? I just recently found out about a week ago that FedEx actually denied your claim, so yes keeping in touch with me would have been helpful.

On a side note..I am such an idiot, and quoted from YOU "Ask him a question about basic electrical." Why the H3LL would you drive over 3 hours for an alarm to be installed by an idiot??? Again laughable.

You made your negative post of feedback here, which you are entitled you and is fine, but for further discussion and to let people know how "idiotic, untrustworthy, unethical, or dishonest, etc" I am please move it to another post. This isnt the intent of this particular part of the forum.

all I can say is-I've known Don for a few months now--and the first time I went there- I went straight off org recommendations-with no prior knowledge of his skills or lack thereof.

After visiting him once-I was set on returning-even though he doesnt personally own a 5th gen maxima-he took apart my car like it was his own-everything came off quick-in tact and he was looking at me/talking to me the whole time WITHOUT even watching my car-

Don know's his **** plain and simple-and I believe he sells quality components at very fair prices-almost commensurate with generic/commercial equipment

I could not be happier-now Don..where are my pyle speakers?

Don, as I stated I have a letter from Fed Ex stating the damage was caused by the shipper. You were the shipper. I shipped it back to you. Don't ask me where it is now. You are the one that claims to have such close ties with Fed Ex, ask them. We went over all of this in great detail in July and August. Obvoiously you are still trying to blame the customer for your inability to pack a box. As a customer that paid you nearly $3000 for equipment in 2003, I think you should have made a bit more effort to resolve the situation.

This is the buyer / seller feedback section of the forum. Your getting my feedback here simply because you refuse to respond properly to my email and phone inquiries. I believe the org members deserve to know what can happen to them if they buy products from you.

As you can see in the emails that you sent me you never accepted fault for the damaged power supply. Once the product left your hands you refused to help with resolveing the issue. And you still deny today, any responsibility for your mistake.

Actually being that your 1 in 100s that ever had a problem whether shipped or not then I would consider myself pretty reputable.

As for the statement of you sent it back to me...have a tracking number? Verification? I know I do not have it. I also never claimed that I have ties with FedEx just that they have been the most reliable to me Vs UPS,USPS.

Your feedback statement is fine and welcomed, but the feedback forum is intended for a post, rather than a discussion. Like I said if you want it to be an ongoing thread please move it to dealer/vendor experience. As for your communication, I was unaware that you even shipped it back to me, and your emails and phone calls ceased when all this occured. You have my phone number and Im sure you still have the ability to dial a telephone, so please do so.

On another note, you still didnt answer my other question of if Im such an idiot and dont know anything why would you drive 4 hrs for me to work on your car?

I guess you could say I have learned from my experience with you. And you obviously noticed I asked you to ship the power supply instead of driving 4 hours each way again.

Well the driving to actually get something would be rediculous, but the point is you drove here for something to be installed into your car. In which case what do you learn? Theres a problem with the alarm now too???

No Don, I would just cut and repaste. You always ask that negative comments about your sales be deleted. On the audio / video forum your requests are honored because that forum is not meant for buyer seller experiences.

As I recall you stated that you had to install the alarm or it wouldn't be warranteed or something of that nature. But I think you only asked this question to change the subject. The question remains, do you ever plan to rectify this situation?

I have never asked for negative feedback to be deleted. Ever. As there was none. Show me where PLEASE.

As I stated I believe your phone capabilities are still there, so use them as stated this isnt a discussion forum.

Several repeat purchases and installs from Don later.... and I'm an extremely satisfied customer

So I order an amp through Don at a great price.....
and the manufacturer does not have it readily available....yet they have the same amp but with "custom"( retails for more $$$) casing readily available- So Don looking out for me as a customer
was able to get me product not charging me a penny more than our orig price! Now that I can appreciate and am grateful to him- you dont see that much in thistype of business-

So Don has earned future business from me and all those I bring/reffer to him

I just want to say that Don is a great person to deal with, he posted a Pioneer HU on the org for his friend to sell. Item was shipped via FedEX by his friend, and item was never delivered. I filed the claim and got the amount which was insured (not full amount due to his friend). Not only did I not get all my money back, but Don personally paid me back the difference out of his own pocket, when it wasnt even his responsibility to do so. I plan to still do business with Don because he is very professional.

Yeah did you ask them about unexpected creations??? DOn is definatley direct with most of the companies he works with. The ones hes not direct with he gets through an authorized distributor. Do you know how much it costs to go direect with most of these companies. 10,000 or more. If you sign up with 10 companies thats 100 grand, duh!!
