Dealings with cbr2 - not good

I really don't want to post this since Chaz is a long time member, and the monetary amount was very small, but regardless he did take my money and then stopped communicating with me.

Back in December, he posted a bare engine block for sale for $20. I emailed him, and he told me that he would ship at my expense of course. I have a UPS account, so the arrangement that we had was that he would package the engine and UPS would pick it up from his house. He told me that packaging supplies such as cardboard, etc. would be around $15 from his local storage place but that it may be more. I paypaled him the $35 he requested, and told him to let me know the final total for the boxes so I could send him the extra money if necessary to cover it. He said fine. After that, I pretty much stopped hearing from him. It is now almost April, so it's been 4 months since I've gotten any word. He hasn't responded to multiple emails I've sent him.

I really don't even care about the $35. It's just the fact that I never got what I payed for, or even a courtesy email to explain what was going on. I know several people who have bought trannies and big items from him without incident, so I really didn't think this would happen.
