I think I got ripped off

I decided to post this here, since not too many people go into the buyer/seller feedback section of the .org. Anyways 2 weeks ago I PayPaled Chinaonnitrous 1050 bux for his JIC Magics, thats the price we agreed uppon and he told me he was going to get a box for them and send them out. In the 2 weeks he hasn't responded to my PMs that I have send him. I also called him a few times after getting his phone #, he hasn't returned my phone calls or anything. One time someone picked up his cell today, and told me hes at work and will call me later. Later I called and no one picked up, I feel like I got ripped off. Anyone knows this dude ? A gee note is quite a bit of dough, and since I have his address from PayPal I might just take a week off from work and drive my way down to Cali to claim my stuff or $$$. Anyone know Larry personally ? I feel really bad for putting this on the .org but, I think anyone whos send a large chunk of $$$ to someone they don't know, would have done the same thing.

Alameda, Cali, his profile says---

"Best Buy Senior Installer, Oakland ca. Store 499 NO DISCOUNTS FOR .org MEMBERS =) "

I want my friggn JIC Magics, or just give me my $$$ back in full amount I paid. I can use that $$$ for a full repaint in a month and half on my car. But I want the JICs.

If you paid w/ a CC on paypal then dispute the charge. If you and he are Paypal verfied then dispute it with them, they will refund your money and take it out of his account. Even if he already withdrew the funds into his bank account they will refund your money. THIS IS ONLY IF YOU ARE BOTH VERFIED.

Either way, call Paypal immediately!!! Sorry about this and good luck!

Looking for Chinaonnitrous GOT RIPPED OFF

Ok guys, I was told by Larrio to try this section of the .org as there are more westcoast guys here (duhh its the west side forum). 2 weeks ago I agreed uppon a price with Larry- Chinaonnitrous, for his JIC FLTA2s which where used, 1050 bux shipped. I PayPaled him the $$$ and I have not heard a WORD from him, called him a few times even. Yesterday someone picked up his cell and told me hes at work and will call me when he gets off...... hmm who picks up other peoples cell phones ? I tried sending PMs, nothing. I think I will drive to Cali with my riffle and get my $$$ back. Can anyone help me or should I just bring out the big guns and drive over there ? I want my JICs cause in a few months its autoX season.

Sounds to me like you need to make one of those big mag light brackets that goes down by your seat, put one of those big mag lights in it, drive to cali, take that big mag light out of the bracket, and persuade him to give you some JICs.

Dang, from what I know of him, he is a stand up guy. Did you do the paypal guarantee? it should have been less than $10. If so, you can report it to paypal and they will take the money back from him and give it to you.

I don't think he'd do that to you...but that's based on LONG ago board personality. Who knows now what could have changed.

Anyways, I'd give him time, he's just probably trying to get them uninstalled or something, but busy. Not an excuse once someones paid, but my feeling of what's going on.

Good luck and that is A LOT of money to be holding out in the wind, but PayPal will pay you back. It protects the buyer somewhat, but nothing really for the seller.

I agree with this after giving a long time org member a chance, and BlackBirdVQ has been trying for a while. $1050 isn't chump change.

Blackbird I feel for you man. Thats one reason I am skeptical about buying a big ticket item from someone on here. I may be interested in buying Juices 18 Mille Miglia with tires for 900, but what if I get screwed over. I mean that money is like a big chunk of my free cash right now I can afford to get screwed especially with the run of bad luck I have been having. Hope you get what you deserve and like they said call paypal I got screwed on a cd player from ebay and I got all my $$$ back.

well this is the 3rd day of me calln and calln, nothing. I am thinking of calling his work, if that don't help, and PayPal aint going to help - just send an e-mail bout all this.... I am calling the local Law Enforcement agency and reporting internet fraud. Someone picked up the phone and it sounded JUST like the guy on the voice mail greeting, told me hes at work and will call me later. When I make a deal with someone, if its even for 10 bux, I keep my word and complete it. I got screwed on a short throw shifter by a guy on Ebay for my G20, PayPal got me my $$$ back after waiting for the guy like 3 weeks to send it. Few days later the shifter arrived, I send the guy his $$ back again. It was for only like 40 bux, but still I felt bad. 1000+ bux isn't the same thing here, I been pretty laid back bout it... but I can only take so long before going after the guy. His bad luck is, I know ALOT of people in Cali- I been there alot in the past when I used to road race my SE-R at buttonwillow, if it comes down to it I will drive to Cali.
