I am doing the same. I have just filed a complaint with paypal. There will be a point were we will be able to obtain the address and phone number from paypal. I have been through this before with ebay. My transaction was 2/3/05 for 25.00.

What the HELL. I just saw this post as I PMed him. I paid him $14.00 US for a light stalk switch on 2/7/2005. If he doesnt reply I am going to file a complaint. I will be getting my money back, even though it is just $14.00.

Go to your review account page at PayPal and there will be a "dispute" section. Just click there and follow the instructions. Nothing to it.

OK I filed a complaint with PayPal. Everyone should do this soon, because you only have 45 days from the initial transaction date to do so. How do we go about getting this person's personal information? I should be in NYC this summer and I would like to pay them a visit. Stealing $1.00 or $1000000000.00 makes no difference to me, it is about the principal.

If you have a paypal account you will be able at some point of a dispute obtain his address and phone number. I went through this with ebay and I called the person that had my money. All worked out ok finally. Yep Several phone calls will do the trick. I assure you I WILL have this persons phone number soon. Stick a fork in it.

Update for you folks..

Hey guys, here's some info for you. I thought from maximagunner's profile that he may be someone I know from a local board. Turns out it was. I sent him a PM over there about this situation, and here's his reply:

hey, yes that is me. the stuff was shipped yesterday. there was a HUGE confusion over who payed me and who didnt and i owed my friend some money who was supposed to ship b/c he gets a discount and he didnt b/c i had to pay him but he never told me until 3 days ago. i dont like scammers, i am definately not a scammer. my sn was banned so i cant even put a post up. but if you could let them know, i would be very apreciative!
Hope that was helpful. If you have any messages you want me to pass along, feel free to PM me and I'll send them his way.

Unfortunately he did not reply to any of our PM's or emails himself. Because of that he will have to face the concequences. I do not care what story he came up with, this is simply not acceptable. Why should you have to pass our messages on? He has an account here, he can read the messages him self. He has an email address which we have sent emails to as well, and he hasn't replied there. As far as I am concerned, he has stolen my money as well as other .org users.

I don't have to pass messages along, I was just trying to help you guys since I do know him. I'd be just as pissed as you if I were in your situation.

I am assuming you found him on nycmaximas.org? Also can you provide his personal info like address, real name, phone #, etc?

Thanks

I know him from the forums on www.roclife.org since he was one of like 3 or 4 Maxima owners on there - if you want to register over there to communicate with him, his name on there is 90crx. That's the only way I have to get ahold of him, are PMs on that board.

Paypal finally sent a response to my complaint, and they ruled in my favor. However they said because he has no funds in his account, they were unable to refund me. Now war starts.

Have you spoken to him lately? Because of other commitments I haven't had time to pursue this 100%, but now I am going to.

I've been through the Paypal process. They sided with me but could not refund me because of no funds. What do I need to do to get that type of assistance?
Thanks for the input.

He also sez anyone who he owes money to can contact him and he will do the same. We shall see. I'll let you know how it works out.

OK apparently after sending him a few messages on roclife.org, he seems to have gotten the idea. I got a $14 usd refund minus $0.71 paypal fee from a fellow by the name of Neil Vokes. Did you get a refund from the same person Fireman Ron?
