Misunderstanding with Tilleys99-Resolved

OK, here's my story.
I was looking for some 5 speed parts to finish off my swap.
Robert and I ended up talking somehow though PM's and agreed that he would sell me quite a few parts for my swap.
We talked money and agreed on $200.
I did some research and found that quite a few people on the .org have dealt with him, as well as many had work done on their car's by him.
I assumed he would be honest to deal with.
I send him the money on June 10th, pm him to let him know as well as give him my shipping address and then I wait. After a couple weeks go by and I don't hear anything, I pm him and ask what's going on.
I get a response back saying he lost my shipping address. So that's fine, I resend him my address. I don't hear anything for a couple more weeks.
I send another pm asking where things sit and I get another reponse that says he's looking for a CPS ring. Fine. I give it a couple more weeks, then pm him to find out if he found the ring and shipped the parts.
I get another message back saying he's just looking for a box that will fit the shifter bars. So it's now been over a month. I'm getting frustrated, but fine, I wait.
Again, a couple more weeks with no parts. I email him this time to find out what's going on, and I don't get a response. I send a PM to find out what's going on, and I don't get a response.
I wait to see if the parts show up, nothing.
I send a few more email, and try to send PM's but now his PM box is full.
So it's now been 2 months and I still have no parts and can't get ahold of him.

So I'm hoping he will see this and try to contact me and explain why it's been 2 months without me getting my parts, money or even a response.

Mark

You should call him at his shop. I talk to Rob everynow and then about new projects and he has worked on a few of my friends cars'. He does not seem like the type to screw someone over.

He has done stuff for my engine swap. Redrilled the cams. I think he has been pretty busy lately but that doesnt excuse 2 months of waiting either. I am sure it will work out.

Dealt with Tilley when he redrilled my cams and bought me a set of JWT spacers. Seems like an honest guy, helped me through the swap, too.

One more for Tilley's honesty. He's done some minor body work and a tranny swap for me, and has proven that he will represent himself honestly and do what he says he will do.

Also one more BIG for calling the shop if you're that concerned. Nothing like talking in realtime. PMs aren't the best way to deal with important stuff unless you KNOW the other person is gonna be checking them.

Thank you Robert.

From all I've heard about you I figured you were an OK guy to deal with and that something had just come up. That's why I didn't post anything negative, I just wanted to know what was going on.

You ought to go ahead and change the thread title to "NOT Screwed by Tilleys99", then.

Maybe Rob should have tried a bit harder to respond to Zero-K, but I worry about people who just look at the title without reading the entire thread and then get a negative impression from the title alone. You see it happen too many times when someone gets falsely accused and the news media spread it abroad. How do you get your reputation back under those circumstances?

Well, I've been closing the threads with "Issue Resolved". That should help.
