MOTHER****ING FEDEX SUCKS!!!!!! My Bumper is lost!
So they are supposed to deliver my Bumper cover, the tracking says delivered to back door. Nothing there!!!! Walked around my house 10 times to make sure. Son of a ***** where the **** is my bumper cover??? Customer support cannot locate the driver. Aren't you supposed to sign for FedEx Delieveries anyway??? sorry to go OT here. Just ****ed off
damnz
damn dude that sucks ***, i hope they do somethin about that for you, like pay you or something. No you don't have to sign for the shipments unless you specifically request it, however if you do and your not home they will bring it back to the warehouse (fedex) and it will sit for like a week before they try again (my expierence)... UPS does the same thing. I call it a One-knock-drop off, they will knock on your door once wait like 10 seconds and just toss your package on the ground, cuz hey, once they get in the truck it is no longer their responsibility, *******s! this happened to me once when i was waiting for a shipment for a clients machine! ended up taking 2 more weeks than planned, apparently guy brought wrong package to the house and drove off said it was delivered, and someone else got mine took 2 weeks for ups to find out who got it, and in the end i had to drive to exchange the packages! god if there was no such thing as shipping my life would be so much easier, *me runs to build a transporter*

Do you think someone possibly stole it from your house? How's the neighborhood?
My experiences with FedEx have been okay. If no one was home to pick the delivery up, they'd take it back to their warehouse that's close by to you. What you have to do then is go over there during their business hours and claim it. A hassle if u ask me .
hope you find it

If it was supposed to be delivered today, give them another day or two. They did that to me twice. The traking said it was delivered, but the brought it several days later. I think they do that when they can't getr it to you in promiced time, they just mark it as delivered.

I'll keep my fingers crossed and hope that is the case.

My problem with fedex is the way they treat packages. I had one $4000 laptop arrive with a broken screen, shipped in the original DELL box. Took then 8 weeks to get me the money to pay for the $1300 repair bill. Of course I needed the laptop so I had to pay out of pocket for the repair up front.
Also, I have recently shipped 7 servers to some of out company's remote offices. Seattle, NY, DC, Detroit, Toledo etc. *MORE THAN HALF* of them arrived *damaged* and had to be repaired at my expense before they could be deployed. I'm on a tight deployment shcedule here so I can't wait 3 weeks for them to send an inspector out. If you fix it before that, they won't pay.
In the last 6mo I'd say fedex quality of service has been CRAP.
Time to go to UPS or DHL I think. I used to overnight-ship hole servers hardware by fedex on an almost daily basis. Not any more.
In your case, if the sender authorized delivery without a signature, then it's the sender who is out. If such delivery was not authorized and was completed anyway, it's fedex's bag.
I believe that Fedex marked your package as delivered as a way of documenting that they met their delivery time obliation - in this case it probably means 'attempted delivery'. If it's like 2nd day air then they want it on paper that they attempted delivery on the 2nd day. If they drop it and it never gets to your hands, then they have to prove that you, or your agent actually received it personally. If they left it in a location from which it was ultimately stolen, then it's their problem (unless the sender checked "Deliver without signature", again)

****ED
OFFF!!
I think you'll run into the same problems pretty much no matter which shipping carrier you go with. I recently just received some car audio equipment that was damaged, and am now waiting for UPS to credit me for the damage they caused! Hearing your stories, sounds like it's going to be awhile before I see that $ again...

was it FedEx or FedEx Ground?FedEx Express (the Red trucks) requires a signature and is extremely prompt and very good about claims (refunds within a week). FedEx Ground (the green trucks) is RPS, also known as just a bunch of lazy teamster truckers. FedEx Ground/RPS is absolutely awfull. They are barely a step above USPS in my book and I would recommend UPS over them any day.
I work for a mail-order computer parts warehouse and handle most of the insurance claims and relations with the shipping companies. we recently (4 months ago) started shipping FedEx Ground in order to get orders out the same day (latest UPS pickup is 4:30, FedEx Ground is 7:00). Because of their sheer ineptness and incompetence I have had to spend at least two or three hours a week on the phone and filling out claims forms. and they're even rude to me! we ship some 30-odd packages a day with them and 80 more with FedEx Express. We've also been with them for six years now and they still have the stupidity and audacity to give me **** after they **** up! I've been pushing to stop doing business with them because of the large ammount of claims, lost packages, damaged shipments and awful service. but when it comes to late pickup they are the only game in town at the moment.
please, if you can help it, go with UPS or FedEx Express. RPS/FedEx Ground is just plain ****.

in my case i had no choice, the seller was the one who had picked teh carrier.
yikes, I can't believe it took that long man! I hope I never again experience anything remotly close to this..it happened once. If it happens again Im just gonna have to do something drastic. However you do realize that if it said it was delievered/signed for and noone in your house signed for it or ever saw it, that is ground for a law suit..although it would cost tons of money to get that going on a company such as fedex, if you won, you could take them for everything
