dealer in rhode island - very shady - sold me salvaged car

hey all, i just wanted to let everyone know that if you plan on buying any car what so ever DO NOT GO TO: SASA AUTO SALES on ATWOOD AVE. in CRANSTON RI, 02920. he sold me a salvaged maxima, and did not tell me. i later found out from a friend of mine that saw tons of weld marks on my frame. also carfax came up with 6 PAGES of history on my car. i told him about it, and he said that he would take the car back and get me a new one. which is good, but my heart just dropped when i hear that my car was totaled. also he does a very half a$$ed job fixing things, and i would sugest anyone buying a car from him. it wasn't just my experiance, but my friends experiance was not good with him either. (he bought a intrepid) if you need any further info, please feel free to pm me, or reply to the thread.

That's why doing CarFax before you buy the car is important. Also having the car inspected by a good mechanic/frame shop before you buy is important.

Was it customized when you bought it? If so you should have known better.

Hindsight is always 20/20. Sounds like one of those small corner lot dealers. I got royaly screwed on my first car purchase (same type of scenario), made me a lot smarter in the end though.

Good luck in the future, hope to see you back in here with a max sometime.

thanks. i told him he has to make this right or i will go after him legaly, and he shut right down. so now he is getting me a:

97 maxima

-se
-black
-black leather
-moonroof
-5spd
-under 90k miles
-no accidents

All for the same price!

so it worked out in the end. but still not something i would want to go through again.
