Ripped OFF

Ok I bought 3 sets of neons from my local car audio store. And they were supposed to be in 3 days ago and I cant get ahold of the guy. TOday I went up there and it looked like half of the store was gone. I think they are closing down... I think i just lost my $100 bux.. I left a letter taped onto the door. But what happens if i dont get a call back? Is there anyway I can fight back???

Heres what the letter said..

Outlaw,

I was supposed to have my neon’s in my hands by the next day I made the purchase. I feel like I am getting ripped off. And if that is the case it will not be tolerated. Since it is impossible for me to get in touch with you guys, Please give me a call A.S.A.P to discuss the status on my neon’s. By the way it looks in your window; I’d say you are closing down. So all I ask is either deliver the product to me or give me a refund for my $100. You can reach me at (832) ***-3350.

Sincerely,

TaY

Do you have an invoice or any other type of reciept? If so, you can take legal action. If you dont, then your outta luck. Happened to my friend. Bought a $500 exhaust, and the place closed before he got it. Luckly, he brought the owner to court and he got the exhaust shipped directly to his house.

Good luck trying to get it back legally. Your best bet would be to wait for him when he opens and if he refuses get a whole bunch of big guys that are friends and be there the next morning. Don't threaten or do anything to get yourself in trouble until he blows you off again...thats where I would follow him into the store and steal ****. Oh and make sure you park your car far enough where he cant tell its yours or cant read the plate

Not a very good way to try and recover your money or your item by calling them "Outlaw". You might have just blown your chance at getting them to own up to their responsibility, instead that might have provoked them to really screw you over. Who knows, perhaps they might have just moved and forgot to put a notice on their door. Next time, address anyone you write to with respect eventhough you feel that you have been wronged by them. Chances are that person will realize that they are in the wrong and try to reconcile with you. If not, at least it will make you look a lot better in court should you have to take legal action on them. Right now, I'm in the process of exercising my legal right as a buyer on eBay and am going thru proceedings with Square Trade against a seller for not shipping me an item I had purchased after they've already gotten my payment. I tried to be as civilized and professional, in my emails/letters, should this go all the way to small claims court.

I am guessing that "Outlaw" may be the name of the shop. I am just guessing, though...
