Proline Experience - LONG!

Ok I hope you read this all because this is a long story but I need to tell it.

I just want to thank Tom (njmaxsetld) for working on my suspension. I know everyone says “a few hours and you can do it yourself”. Well, for $100 you can have Tom do it and do it RIGHT. I also wanted to thank his brother for doing what I thought was impossible (more about this later in the novel).

I had my suspension redone about a year ago, when my stock front struts went. I decided that since I am going to spend a few bucks on replacing the stock parts, why not go aftermarket? I did some research and decided on going with Maxspeed springs and KYB AGX struts all around.

I paid quite a bit of money to have them put in by a local mechanic. Now, don’t get me wrong, this guy is good but works on so many cars and so many different types of suspensions I knew that something might happen. About 2 months after the install I started getting clunks on the right side of the car. I took it back and he told me the spring and strut don’t seem to line up right and I need new springs.

To make an extremely long story short, I decided after months of procrastination to have him look at em. Within 10 minutes Tom had the car up on a jack and fixed the clunk. It seems the spring wasn’t sitting right and needed to be redone. Tom put a piece of rubber in it and the noise went away. We talked and I decided to come back the next week to have a more permanent fix done.

The next week, I had Tom put KYB Dust boots in (A MUST!!!), adjusted the spring to fit better, and everything is better now. While I was waiting, another guy from the org (nismos14) and I took Tom’s car for a ride. HOLY $H!T…this thing rode like an M3. Actually better. I have never been in a lowered car that rode this good…it rode better then my Max did when I first got her. Had I taken his car for a test drive before I had all this work done to mine, I would have gone with his setup. I just cannot describe how good it rode. For those of you who doubt it, stop by his place and have him give you a ride!!!!

While Tom was working, we got to talking about my car and how the back door has been broken for 2 years since the accident. I had taken it to 4 body shops and no one has been able to fix it. So Tom tells me his brother is the best and can fix it. With disbelief, I tell him sure and he gets to work. Within 20 minutes he had it fix and good as new. I am still in shock about it!!!!

So, to sum all this up…believe what Tom says. He knows his stuff and has perfected the 4th gen suspension with his setup. Eventually I will be mirroring his but for right now I am broke.

PM me if you need to know more or have any questions.

THANK YOU AGAIN PROLINE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Tom definitly knows his $hit. I have realized this, and he will hopefully be installing my tokico Illuminas within 2 weeks. Tom and his shop also painted and installed my body kit. Couldn't be happier with the results and the service.

Just got home from getting my suspension redone today by Tom at Proline body and Chassis. I was there for a couple hours, just shooting the $hit, hanging out, and watching my car being reincarnated into a BMW so the girls can stop saying their a$$ hurts.
Tom replaced the AGX's in the front with Tokico Illuminas. And it definitly needed to be replaced because the front right AGX was blown. I thought it was only my bent rim that was causing the rattling. He also put in the rear motivational mount, and dust boots. So the result after a short time of installing these products and then taking her for a short spin put a huge fukin on my face! On the highway ride home I thought I was in a beamer

I want to thank Tom again, and would highly recommend him to anybody. But at this point, if you don't know about Tom and his extensive knowledge of cars and the excellent work he does, then you are out of the loop. So find out for yourself and have your suspension, body work, car needs, etc....dealt with here

Proline

Tom is the best there is (when it comes to suspension that is) He definitely takes good care of customers.. especially .org members.. local NJ/NY guys should be glad we have a great guy who'd help us with chassis and bodywork. Rest assured that your car is in good hands when you take it to Proline.
