JUST GOT THE CALL FROM THE MECHANIC FROM SANSONE NISSAN OF NEW JERSEY TODAY. AS IT TURNS OUT, DESPITE THE PROFOUND GRINDING NOISE EMINATING FROM THE ALTENATOR OF MY 1995 NISSAN MAXIMA, THE OBVIOUS BURNING SMELL, THE FACT THAT ALL OF THE CARS LIGHTS ARE DIM, THE RADIO CONTINUALLY SHUTS OFF, AND THE CAR WILL NOT REMAIN RUNNING, THEIR PROFESSIONAL OPINION IS SUCH THAT THE CAR DOES NOT NEED A NEW ALTENATOR. INSTEAD, THEY HAVE PAINSTAKINGLY HUNTED DOWN THE CULPRIT AND REPORT BACK THAT THIS IS ALL DUE TO THE FACT THAT THE HEADLIGHT BULBS ARE TOO BRIGHT AND ARE MELTING THE PLASTIC OF THE HEADLIGHT ASSEMLIES,HENCE THE PRESENCE OF THE BURNING ODOR. AMAZINGLY THESE PROBLEMS STRANGELY APPEAR IN THE DAYTIME TOO, WHILE THE HEADLIGHTS ARE NOT ON... AND ALSO... THE CAR DOES NOT NEED A NEW PASSANGER WINDOW REGULATOR EITHER. THE WINDOW MOTOR REFUSES TO OPERATE BECAUSE OF THAT DAMN TINTED FILM ON THE GLASS. THE MECHANICS OF SANSONE ARE CURRENTLY BUSY AT WORK TRYING TO UNRAVEL THE MYSTERY OF WHY THE 3 REMAINING TINTED WINDOWS IN THE CAR CONTINUE TO FUNCTION NORMALLY AND PROMISE NOT TO GIVE UP, AND SHALL LEAVE NO STONE UNTURNED AS THEY ASSIGN A TEAM OF THEIR MOST EDUCATED AND SKILLED PROFESSIONALS TO THE TASK.
I'D LIKE TO TAKE THIS TIME TO NOMINATE THE MECHANICS OF SANSONE NISSAN FOR MY " STUPID PERSON OF THE WEEK " AWARD, AND REMIND MY FELLOW MAXIMA OWNERS THAT THE WORD "PROFESSIONAL" DOES NOT MEAN A PERSON IS GOOD AT WHAT THEY DO... IT JUST MEANS THEY GET PAID FOR IT.

that is something--

jeez, they sound quite smart at playing around with your car. Btw, why don't you just take your car back and take it to another nissan dealer?

I think that a lot of Nissan service is over-rated and can be fixed at a good mechanic shop.

Dude, you don't have to SHOUT ALL THE TIME!!!

Also, have you posted a single thread that doesn't bash someone else? Just a trend that I've noticed with your posts thus far.

I'm starting to see a trend here....

I don't know your situation, but its always better to try and get things solved without first getting in their face. From the only posts I've seen from you, it looks like thats how you try to get things done. I could be wrong.....
