Frankencar... Grr...

Hey guys...
i just wanted to know if any1 has had this problem? I ordered my Full Intake system from Frankencar off there site on the 23 of Feb. I used paypal to buy it. They never sent me a order conformation or notice of shippment or ANYTHING!!! They have taken my money also... Anyone else have this problem? If so how long did it take 2 ship? Did you get any notice or did it just show up at the door?

Wait another month or 2. Everyone knows that it takes FC a long time to ship their stuff. You didn't do your homework. Better yet get an intake off ebay, you'll save yourself about a $100.

Dont call them either, their office phone is disconnected. Took about a month for mine to arrive. Nasty e-mails or voice messages on their cell phones dont work either.

Just be patient, once you get it you'll forget they suck at sending stuff out in no time.

dude my parents bought me an intake from them for Christmas and they sent the wrong one (a 200-2001) but my parents didnt know this for sure so my mom had called them like 10 times and e-mailed them but no response... then on CHRISTMAS DAY when i opened the intake and knew it was the wrong one i called them on their cell and actually got ahold of them?!?!?! go figure... so they sent me the new intake even though it took about 2 weeks. they seem like they work out of the garage and dont care about customers very much but i will have to say that their intakes are sweet! they sound and look so good, and i felt a def power increase. they make good products but need to learn the meaning of CUSTOMER SERVICE!!

Yeah, I was at the point of calling paypal or B of A to get my money back, but then it got here without word from them and I slapped that thing on and all was forgotten.

I hope so Im at 1 month wait right now. I managed to call them and get Steve's personal cell. He let me know that they didnt have such and such (you know the bs routine) but that a shipment of such and such would be arriving the next week. My order would be shipped promptly afterwards. (I have patience up the wazoo.) Plus im in a good mood that my last couple group buys have come out great. (y-pipe and skyline body kit). ill post when it gets here and how it sounds.

Get your facts straight. Everyone knows FC was having a problem with Apexi and the filters which delayed everyone's orders last year.

sean05: Just email and call them directly and don't listen to some of the BS in this thread.

They are pretty nice guys. Drop them an email...my intake took awhile and I did email them and they did get back to me. It might no be there tommorrow, but if you drop them an email or call to light a fire under their asses I'm sure they'll get it out to you well before 2 months.

Like I said in some other thread, I got my mid-pipe in a week-and-a-half. Supply problems with Apexi might exist... I have a JWT cone from Courtesy, took them a full month to get it... it was backordered or something.

Still, the mid-pipe is cool. Maxi makes a higher pitched, angrier noise with it than with the rubber flex section and extra resonator. The mid-pipe freed up enough room under the hood for me to reach the knock sensor, and I removed it without cutting myself even once.

Hello Sean05 and to all the members out there that might have a problem in the future. I'm a business law major and thought I might share this with you guys. This is a powerful weapon that you guys can use in the future if something like this happens (i.e. buys something from a vendor but takes a long time for any sort of merchandise to appear; or if the merchandise is not as advertised; or you are not satisfied with the item and made a good faith effort into returning it within a reasonable of time.

"Failure of consideration" which basically means "a failure of consideration is a situation where the basis for a contract ceases to exist or becomes worthless."

You can use that ONLY as a defense. For example, if you paid with paypal with frankencar and after 2 months still haven't recieved the item, issue a charge back and as the defense, say "Failure of consideration" and find the code section in your state's law that says that. I.e. In Georgia (where i'm from), the code for that is OCGA 13-5-9.
